Trigger Point Massage

We use only organic massage oils, safe and beneficial for the skin!

Trigger points are areas of tension  that cause pain in other areas of the body. Many individuals suffering from chronic pain offer have one or multiple trigger points that affect other areas of the body and cause constant, long-term pain.

The back is a common trigger point- causing pain in the neck and shoulders as well, and sometimes progressing to cause headaches if not treated.

Why use Trigger Point Massage?

Trigger point body massage is an ideal massage treatment for individuals with chronic pain in one or multiple parts of the body, or individuals recovering from a physical injury.

Even individuals with noticeable amounts of tension in a particular area can benefit tremendously from one or more sessions of trigger point massage therapy. For instance, the neck and shoulders are a common area of increased tension, and trigger point massage works to relieve the constant build up of tension in these areas, relaxing the individual and decreasing tension throughout the rest of the body.

Is Trigger Point Massage Painful?

Trigger point massage will significantly decrease the pain associated with a specific area, or trigger point, even after one session. The massage therapist must apply specific pressure to the trigger point during the massage in order to decrease tension. This can be uncomfortable, but our therapists will work with you to maximize your comfort and relaxation, encouraging you to breathe deep to release the tension and to alert them to any additional pain or tension.
