Lymph massage is one of our specialties here at Treat Your Feet. Lymph massage, or 'Manual Lymphatic Drainage' or 'Lymphatic Drainage Massage', uses the techniques of body massage to gently stimulate the lymphatic system of the body.

How Lymph Massage Works

The light, slow pressure of the massage mimics the pulse and rhythm of the lymphatic system itself, increasing lymph activity and boosting the immune system. This type of massage increases the natural action of the lymph system, which helps stimulate healthy cells within the body by delivering nutrients, blood and removing toxins.

  • Decreases swelling and inflammation of body tissues
  • Strengthens immune system
  • Increases the body’s natural detoxification process to remove waste and toxins
  • Helps the body heal from surgery

A lymph massage feels different from a standard Swedish or relaxation massage, because the touch is very light and focuses on circular movements and strokes.

TYF Doraville Lymph Massage Review

Why Get a Lymph Massage?

Healthy activity in the lymphatic system and the lymph nodes is essential to maintaining a strong immune system, and feeling energized and young. Increasing lymph activity is also important for individuals with weak immune systems or those recovering from surgery or major medical treatments, since increased lymph activity encourages the healing process of damaged tissues and new tissue growth.

Lymphatic drainage massage is ideal for patients recovering from surgery, intensive medical treatments or a weakened immune system. It is also highly relaxing and gentle enough for the elderly.

*Be sure to drink plenty of fluids after a lymph body massage session, as the body will be getting rid of more toxins than usual
